Multiple Languages

The system should ba able to be presented in multiple languages and every item must be able to saved in an alternate language. This will depend heavily on translation from other people. The system will be internationalised known as i18n. This means that the user interface will be available in multiple languages, and the input will be available to handle multiple input methods.

There's more details here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internationalization_and_localization.

The user interface will have arrays of strings for everything that is displayed in the user interface, and the user will be able to select their desired language. To start with the system will be in English (en-AU). The arrays will be switched out in a similar way to the way that the Android system does the multiple language strings.

The language magic field is generated from the language ISO639-1 codes en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_639-1 and then suffixed where required by the country code taken from ISO3166-1 codes en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_3166-1. So the Australian English language magic code is en-AU.
